(Only a few more weeks until summer!  Screenshot by me, Hannah Mulder) This week I have backed up my website and portfolio website. I am also less than ten points away from finishing this class with the grade I want.  My favorite video this week was from Thursday's announcement . The video was Epified: Names of Hanuman . I chose this video because I wanted to see if I missed any connections to Hanuman throughout the semester. I did not, but the video was interesting and informative because it shared what the background of each name was. My favorite graphic this week was from the  announcement on Thursday as well. I though the mythology humor was pretty funny. It is unfortunately the truth though. I definitely have the problem of going on my phone before getting work done. It was for sure a relatable topic.

I have also checked the grade progress chart, and I am about a week and a half ahead of the schedule to get the grade I want. My favorite video from the past week of announcements was on Wednesday's announcement . It was called Enemy of the Reich: The Noor Inayat Khan Story - Trailer . This video was about a Muslim women, who was young. She helped Winston Churchill in the war against the Nazis. She made a name for herself and what she hoped and believed in. I thought this video was super interesting because of all the different aspects of everyone's background, yet they were all fighting against one thing. I have checked the grading chart, and I am a week or so ahead of the grading chart for obtaining my desired grade. I have also backed-up my blog and website to my computer. My favorite graphic this week was from Friday's announcement . I loved the Growth Mindset Cats picture. It was of course a picture of a cat, and it said, "We won't give up." It is just that point in the semester where most people probably feel like they are drowning in school work and whatever else might be going on in life. I think it was just a nice reminder that we will survive the semester alive. (An encouraging words booth. We all could probably use this right about now. I chose this video because I like to learn more about the Indian culture when I choose to watch the announcement videos. I learned about the Indian trade relations...

As of right now I am still on track to get the grade I desire at the end of the semester.  My favorite graphic this week was from Wednesday's announcement . It was under the writing section of the announcement. The photo said, "Writing does not have to be perfect to be wonderful." I think it was a nice little reminder that just because I am not the best writer does not mean I cannot produce great works in this class. The video I liked the most this week was also from  Wednesday's announcement . The video I watched was called Manish Vyas, about Santoor . I have backed up my website and blog to my computer. I am also still on track to make the grade I want at the end of the semester.  My favorite graphic this week was from the announcement on Thursday . It was in the growth mindsets cat section. I honestly did not really find a graphic this week that was truly my favorite, so I chose my favorite cat picture because cats are cute! (Just a photo of a cat for my enjoyment.  Photo by Neverending September ) The video I chose this week was on Saturday's announcement . The video was called " Ma - The Mother Goddess ." This video explained how the Mother Goddess in a big cultural symbol in India. She represents many things and has big presence.

I am still on track to receive my desired grade at the end of the semester. My favorite graphic this week was from the blog stream section on Thursday's announcement . It was a pug floating in the pool, with the text sometimes you just have to chill. Isn't that the truth? The video I chose this week was from Saturday's announcement . It was called The Myth of the Missing Half . It was an interesting video to say the least. The theory presented was kind of bizarre, but intriguing nonetheless. I suggest y'all just go watch if for yourselves. It is a very short video.

I have also reviewed the announcements for the week. My favorite graphic this week was the growth mindset cats from Thursday's announcement . This was my favorite because the cat was so cute, and so fluffy I want to die! I also think the message appealed to me as well, I am at that point in the semester where I need to let go of the idea of being perfect at everything. The stress is too much! My favorite video this week was on Saturday's post . It was called  3 Tips to Boost your Confidence . I chose this video because I like TED Talks, and this was by TED Ed, so I figured why not give it a try. The third tip was practice failure, and I think I needed that reminder that failing one minor thing in life is not going to ruin my entire life.

Also, I am still on track to get the grade I desire.  This week my favorite video was from the  Thursday, February 14, 2019  announcement. It was Labyrinth History and Walking . For me the design on the cover photo caught my attention, so I watched the short video. The video was short but interesting. Also, I think that the designs of the Labyrinths in the video were fascinating. My favorite graphic this week was the caffeine causality loop from the Friday, February 15, 2019 announcement. I love this graphic because it is so true. I love coffee, and I drink it all day, no matter what time of day. The below photo is a picture of coffee because why not? (Photo by Paul Istoan )

This week I have backed up my blog. I have officially created my portfolio website and backed it up to my computer too. I am also still on track to end with the grade I am hoping for.  My favorite graphic this week is from Thursday, February 7, 2019 . My favorite photo was of course the photo of my sidebar countdowns. I think it is fun to be featured in the class announcements. I also hope that other people created their own countdowns for what is important to them. My favorite video from the announcements this past week, was from Friday, February 8, 2019. It was The History of Emoticons . Why not learn about the history of our new ways of communication? It was just a fun, little video about how emojis came to be. It was interesting to me that emoticons became a thing in 2002, I did not think they had been around for that long. I have reviewed my progress in class, and I am on track to get the grade I want at the end of the semester.  For the video off of the daily announcement, I chose to watch   Hallelujah - Karsh Kale feat Shilpa Rao , which was on the Wednesday, January 30 announcement. I chose to watch this video because I love this song, and I have heard so many versions of it, and they are all so beautiful, so why not watch and listen to a new version? It is always good to expand my horizons. My final take on it was, that the song was sang absolutely beautiful, just like all the other versions I have watched and listened to. I have completed my Blogger back up for this week, but I did not back up my Google Site, given I have not created one yet. For my weekly check-up on my grades, I have not done my thoughts about the feedback because I was late to posting my storybook topic ideas. Therefore, I still have not gotten feedback and realize I may not because I did not complete the previous assignment in a timely manner.   Other than that, I am caught up for the week.   I have reviewed the weekly announcement and found a video called, Karma - Action and Reaction by Epified . I choose to watch this video given that I might use Karma as my storybook topic and that it might be helpful in the future for this class. The video was short, and gave an overview of Karma, not the god, but how Karma works in the world. My favorite graphic this week was on Friday, it was the mythology humor graphic .
